Multi-Agent Teams Are Here
We're excited to announce Teams — a major new feature that lets you group specialized agents together and have them collaborate on complex tasks.
How Teams Work
Instead of chatting with a single agent, you can now create a team of agents that work together. A supervisor agent coordinates the work, delegating subtasks to the right specialist.
For example, a "Research & Write" team might include:
- Content Summarizer — extracts key points from sources
- Data Processor — handles tables, charts, and structured data
- Creative Writer — drafts the final piece with a compelling narrative
When you send a message to the team, the supervisor analyzes your request and routes it to the right agents in the right order.
Key Features
- @-mention routing — mention a specific agent in your message to direct work
- Shared context — agents in a team can see each other's findings
- Automatic delegation — the supervisor handles task breakdown automatically
- Parallel execution — independent subtasks run simultaneously for speed
