v1.6.0 — Steady under pressure
This release is about trust: agents that don't spin out, runs that keep their footing when things get busy, and a straight answer every time something stops early.
Agents that don't spin out
- A new safeguard detects runaway, repeating output and stops it cleanly — no more walls of "GB GB GB…" burning through your tokens.
- When it fires you keep what the agent already wrote, plus a clear note that the answer was cut short — never a blank, never a pretend-complete reply.
Always know why a run stopped
- Every early finish now carries an honest banner that says why — stopped by you, cut for length, or halted by a safeguard — and the same explanation shows up for multi-agent team runs.
Sturdier tools, fewer dead ends
- File tools are more reliable, and an agent can no longer get stuck in a runaway tool loop — it knows when to stop and answer.
- Meet Document Architect (
@document.architect) — a new specialist for structuring, drafting, and shaping long-form documents.
Keep an agent from repeating itself
- New repetition controls in the agent editor — frequency and presence dials that nudge a model toward fresher wording. They appear only on the models that support them.
Grace under load
- When the platform is busy or a provider is briefly rate-limited, your run now waits and retries instead of failing — and tells you it's deferred, not broken.
Polish
- Canvas apps got covers — the gallery now shows a cover image and icon for each app — plus a cleaner profile hero cover and a proper Default Team cover.
The full release note lives in the in-app What's New drawer — open it from your avatar menu. A how-to for the new repetition controls is in Tips & Tricks.
Keep the feedback coming in Feature Requests — a lot of this shipped because you asked.
